Rocket Engines was founded by Sprint Car veteran Rod Perkins and Lisa McGriff. Rod spent 35 years building his own engines. Lisa brings 24 years of experience in business and finance. Rocket Engines has perfected the balance between making power and reliability.
Rod assembled his first engine when he was just 14 (1975) and it is still running today in a restored 1970 Nova. A testament to his ability and study of engines.
Recent projects include race engines for Skagit Speedway Sprint Cars, Street Rods of all types, even a limited Hydroplane engine which tested the creativity to get horsepower due to the highly restricted class. See our photo gallery for examples of these projects.
